Refund Policy
1. The policy
A purchase is refundable if it is within 14 days of purchase and the game has barely been played: under 30 minutes of playtime is the guideline a request is judged against.
Outside either threshold, a refund is discretionary: for a broken build, a listing that misrepresented the game, a duplicate purchase, or confirmed fraud. Reaching us about any of these is done through the contact form.
2. How a refund happens
Games are sold by their developers, so a refund is issued by the developer. Where a game is wound down and its developer cannot be reached, we handle it. A full refund revokes the player’s access to the game as soon as it is issued. A partial one leaves it in place.
Send refund requests through the contact form.
3. Items
In-game items are sold by the game’s developer, exactly like the game itself, so a refund for one is issued by that developer through Stripe the same way. A full refund removes the item from your account as soon as it is issued.
The 14-day window in §1 applies to items too. The playtime test does not: it measures time in the game, not use of an item, so it is a games-only measure.
4. Spice and refunds
Buying something doesn’t credit Spice: it is earned by playing (see Earn Spice), so refunding a purchase takes no Spice back from you.
Games and items you redeemed with Spice are not refundable. No money changed hands, so there is nothing to return, and what you redeemed stays yours, the same as anything you bought.
5. Donations
A donation to a free game’s developer is a gift, not a purchase: it grants nothing, so there is nothing to remove or return. Card donations go to the developer directly, and whether to refund one is theirs to decide through Stripe. Spice donations cannot be reversed.
6. Memberships, bandwidth packs and promotion credit
These are bought from spiced.gg, not from a developer. A Spiced Plus membership or a bandwidth pack can be cancelled at any time and runs to the end of the period already paid for. A period already paid for is not refunded in part.
Promotion credit that has not been spent can be refunded. Ask through the contact form.
7. Refund abuse
Refund requests are reviewed per account, and a pattern of refunds well above ordinary behavior is grounds to refuse one.
