AI Content Policy
1. AI-assisted games are welcome
spiced.gg does not ban AI-generated or AI-assisted content. A developer can use AI for art, audio, writing, code, or anything else in a game’s pipeline. What matters is whether a game is worth playing, not which tools built it.
2. Disclosure, per discipline
A developer discloses AI use at submission, per discipline:
- AI-generated art / visual assets
- AI-generated audio / music
- AI-generated writing / dialogue
- Predominantly AI-generated: most of the game’s content was generated rather than hand-made.
Selecting none of the above is itself a claim: “no AI-generated assets in this game.” A listing found to have misdeclared its disclosures is handled as a moderation matter, the same as any other false self-certification.
3. Not asked: AI-assisted code
Disclosure covers assets a player experiences in the game itself: art, audio, writing. It does not cover the tools used to build the game, so the form does not ask about AI-assisted code.
4. Player-facing treatment
What a disclosure does for players is filtering, not labelling. A player who would rather not see AI-assisted games turns on Excludes AI-generated assets in the browse filters, which hides every listing that disclosed anything. Nothing is stamped on a game’s page or its card: disclosure is a fact the platform acts on, not a mark it puts on a game.
5. The one hard line
AI use has no bearing on the sexually-explicit boundary described in the Content Policy. It applies to every game the same way, generated or not.
