I’m Chief Information Security Officer at Spiced, which is a fancy way of saying I get to be professionally paranoid about a platform built for people like me: I’ve been gaming since I was basically still in diapers. NES, Game Boy, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, N64, the PS1 through PS4 run, Switch, Switch 2, and PC gaming going back to the 90s. Mario, Kirby, and Link got more of my childhood than most of my actual friends did, and if a game had a cartridge, a disc, or a DOS prompt, there’s a good chance I put hours into it.

How I got here

On the day job side, I bring over 20 years of engineering leadership across cloud and on-prem environments, building and scaling teams through explosive growth, mergers and acquisitions, and some of the earliest days of managed cloud services. I most recently served as a Chief Technology Officer before joining Spiced.

Away from the keyboard

These days you’ll still find me deep in Guild Wars 2’s WvW mode, tinkering in my homelab because I like owning my failures, or out driving a WRX badly on rallycross weekends.

Securing a platform players actually love isn’t a stretch for me: I’ve been on the other side of that screen my whole life.
