Stick Fighter
Eight fights stand between a doodle and the edge of the page.
About
Somewhere in a school notebook, a doodle decides it's had enough of being trapped on the page.
Eight drawings stand in its way — and none of them are there by accident. Each was sketched by the same kid, on the same restless afternoon; each remembers why it was drawn; and each is a little harder than the last. To reach the open air past the margins, the doodle has to go through every one.
Stick Fighter is a hand-drawn arcade fighter with the bones of the classics: real frame data, chains and cancels, meter and supers, blocks, throws, and finishers that end a fight in ink. The look is colored pencil on ruled paper. The fighting is the real thing underneath.
Climb the ladder in Arcade — one run, no continues, your score on the line — or take your time in Casual. Clear the notebook and it loops back harder, the drawings sharper, the score worth more. Every fight teaches you something the next one demands.
You're the doodle. The whole page is the argument that you shouldn't exist. Your run is the counter-argument.
The pencil's at the bottom. The edge is at the top. Eight fights in between.
